Sheriffs arrest Waterloo burglary suspect

RocheSeneca County Sheriff’s Investigators report that an arrest has been made after the investigation of a string of burglaries and attempted burglaries that occurred on the morning of 12/19/10 in the Town of Waterloo. Arrested was: Brian C. Roche, age 20, of 39 Clark Street Waterloo, N.Y. Roche was charged with 2 counts of Burglary in the 2nd degree, 3 counts of attempted Burglary 2nd degree and 2 counts of Petit Larceny. It is alleged that Roche entered two residences with the intent to steal property and attempted to enter three other residences. It is also alleged that Roche stole property from a vehicle parked at a residence.All of the crime scenes were in the Town of Waterloo residences were in the vicinity of each other. Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators processed the crime scenes, collected evidence and interviewed multiple witnesses. Roche was apprehended at 2:41 PM by a Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol. He was found to be in possession of some of the stolen property. Some of the property taken during the crimes was: jewelry, electronic equipment, video games and decorative items.Roche was arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court. He was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash, $10,000 bail bond. He is to re-appear at a later date.The investigation is continuing…
