FLDDS client taken, unauthorized, by employee

On 11/28/10 at approximately 12:30 pm Seneca Falls Police arrested Christina J. Leo age 33 of 108 1/2 Lawrence Street Penn Yan 14527 on an Arrest Warrant out of the Town of Seneca Falls Court. Leo was arrested at the Seneca Falls Police Dept. after turning herself in. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on Mynderse Street in the Village of Seneca Falls on 11/22/10. Seneca Falls Police responded to 74 Mynderse Street for a harassment complaint. After further investigation it was found that Leo drove from Dresden, where she works in a Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Service Office van with an 83 year old client in the van. It is alledged that when Leo arrived at 74 Mynderse Street she exited the van and entered the residence and engaged in a verbal argument with a male and female inside. Leo then left the residence and returned to the van, with the male and female following. The female was attempting to call for help when Leo exited the van and grabbed the female by her arms and ripped the phone from her hands. Leo then returned to the van and the female stepped out into the street to get the plate number off the front of the van. Leo then placed the van into gear and stepped on the accelerator causing the van to lunge forward, coming inches from striking the female. Leo is charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree, Endangering the Welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and harassment in the 2nd degree. Leo was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court where she was committed to the SCCF on $1500 cash or $3000 bond. Leo is to reappear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 12/08/10 at 0900hrs.
