11/19/2010 @ 0350 HRS – ARREST – BENCH WARRANT– Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ronald H. Haight, 27, of 2882 Cty Rd 226 Bradford NY on a Bench Warrant out of the Town of Seneca Falls court. The warrant issued for Haight was for failing to pay his fine in the disposition of a 2009 case in the Town of Seneca Falls court. Haight was committed to the Seneca County Correctional facility on $250.00 cash bail and is to reappear back in the Seneca Falls Town court 12-09-10 for further court action.11/19/2010 @ 0124 – FELONY DWI – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Timothy J. Doane, age 25, 7238 County Road 131, Ovid, New York on County Road 131 in the Town of Ovid. Doane was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd Offense – Felony and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08% or more – Felony and ticketed for an inadequate headlight.. Doane is to appear in Town of Ovid Court on 11/29/2010 to answer the charges.11/18/2010 @ 1938 HRS – FIRE – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a camper fire in the backyard of 1235 Route 96 in the Town of Waterloo. A thirty-two foot camper owned by David G. Brownell, 47, of 1235 Route 96, Waterloo, New York, caught fire after sparks from a bonfire in the backyard blew into the camper. The camper became fully engulfed and was a total loss. The Waterloo Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze. The camper was not insured and is valued at about $600.00. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.11/18/2010 @ 1907 HRS – PERSONAL INJURY MVA – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 96 in the Town of Romulus. Sheriff’s Deputies report a southbound vehicle driven by Amanda N. Reed, age 19, of 5854 State Route 96, Apartment 214F, Romulus, swerved to miss a deer. Reed’s vehicle went off the west side of the road striking a ditch and a fence. Reed was taken to Cayuga Medical Center by South Seneca Ambulance for head and neck pain. The Romulus Fire Department assisted at the scene.11/17/2010 @ 0907 HRS – FIRE – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a barn fire at 1855 Gravel Rd in the Town of Seneca Falls. When Deputies arrived on scene the structure was engulfed in flames. The barn owner Thomas Delabbio, age 83, of the same address was out of town visiting family. Thomas’s daughter Linda Craig, age 55, of the same address was home getting ready for work when she was alerted by a neighbor that the barn was on fire. Seneca Falls Fire Dept along with Red Jacket and Magee Fire Dept. responded to the scene and extinguished the fire in approx. 20 minutes. It is believed that a faulty space heater is to blame for the fire. A family dog 15 yrs old named “King “died in the fire. The fire is being labeled accidental
