Sheriff David Gould reports that The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one car fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred Wednesday afternoon at 1:50 pm on Swamp Rd. in the Town of Sennett. A 1999 Toyota Avalon being operated by an adult male traveling south on Swamp Rd. traveled off of the east side of the roadway striking a fence, then traveled across and off the west side of the roadway and struck a house. The victim was transported to Upstate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The victims name is being withheld until positive identification has been made.
