Sheriff David Gould reports that The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation into a one car serious personal injury motor vehicle accident which occurred 11/04/10 at approximately 4:35pm on Bird Cemetery Rd. in the Town of Locke. The investigation reveals that a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier with four occupants was traveling northbound on Bird Cemetery Rd. and swerved to avoid another vehicle beginning to pull onto Bird Cemetery Rd. at the intersection of Catpath Rd. The Cavalier then went out of control and struck a utility pole at which time two persons were ejected. The victims have been identified as follows:Operator Dallas M. Davenport age 18 of Groton treated and released at Cortland MemorialFront seat passenger Tiffany M. Snyder age 18 of Groton treated and released at Upstate Medical Center.Back seat passenger Michelle L. Jayne age 18 of Lansing ejected listed in good condition at Upstate Medical Center.Back seat passenger Jeremiah J. Wells age 21 of Locke ejected listed in serious condition at Upstate Medical Center The investigation is continuing. Identification of the other vehicle and it’s operator is being withheld until the investigation is complete and determinations are made as to applicable charges.
