Sheriff David Gould reports that The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Hit and Run Accident that occurred on Sunday, October 24th 2010 around 6:30 pm at 2150 Ellis Drive in Aurelius.Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s office arrived at 2150 Ellis Drive, Pour Lance’s Coffee and Stanton Automatics, to find a vehicle had crashed into the building causing extensive damage. Witness information indicates the vehicle left heading into Auburn on Route 5 & 20 and that the vehicle may have been a light blue or gray Mazda Tribute similar to the one pictured below. Based on the damage to the building, it would have had significant front end damage. It was being operated by a male.Anyone with information is asked to call the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and leave any information with Deputy David Harkness at 294-8143 or Sgt Jeff Ross at 253-5077.
