On September 11th, 2010 at approx. 12:07 AM the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Robert D. Shields, age 44 of 6 Troy Street Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Shields was stopped by police on a traffic stop for allegedly traveling at a speed of 65MPH in a 30MPH speed zone on Fall Street as well as passing two vehicles on a double-solid no passing zone. After interviewing Shields on the traffic stop police found him to be intoxicated. Shields vehicle was then impounded and he was then transported back to the police department where he gave a breath reading of 0.14% BAC. Shields was then charged with 2 counts of Felony DWI, Reckless Driving and 5 other UTT’s. Shields was then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Laird and was then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 ins bond. Shields is scheduled for a Felony Hearing at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on September 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
