Waterloo teen steals from 13 year old girl

Waterloo Village Police arrested Derrell A. Eldridge, age 17, of 109 Oak Street, Geneva, N.Y. in the early morning hours of (1:34 A.M.) on Thursday, August 26th. 2010, for Robbery 3rd. degree (class D felony), endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny, and harassment in the 2nd. degree.It is alleged that while the victim who is 13 years of age was at 136 East Main Street, Sunoco Express Mart parking lot, she was approached by the defendant Derrell Eldredge and he forcibly took money in the amount of $15.00 from her person. During the robbery the victim was pushed down onto the pavement, and the defendant then fled the scene. The victim and witnesses then called the Seneca County 911 Center with the description of the vehicle, which was subsequently stopped in the City of Geneva by members of the New York State Police and Geneva Police Dept. The defendant was taken into custody without incident and transpoted to the Waterloo P.D. where he was charged.No weapons were used during the robbery and no injuries were reported to the police. Investigation to continue.The defendant was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court, Judge Mattoon, and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in Lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $ 6,000 bail bond. Defendant to reappear in the Village of Waterloo Court on October 6th. 2010 at 9:00 A.M.
