Special Olympics New York’s Fall Games is one of the premier athletic competitions amongst the more than 4,000 competitive experiences held each year throughout New York. All events are free and open to the public. The State Fall Games will be held at venues throughout the area, including New York Chiropractic College, Seneca Falls Country Club, SMS Club of Seneca Falls, Waterloo High School and Lehman Farms in Pittsford, NY.Fall Games Gold level Sponsors include BonaDent Dental Laboratories, Lyons National Bank, Denny’s Restaurants, CSEA, NYSUT, Knights of Columbus, Walmart and Media Sponsor, The Finger Lakes Radio Group.900 Special Olympics athletes and coaches from across New York will participate in the games. Up to 1000 volunteers from surrounding communities will be needed to support the event. Sports include Bocce, Cycling, Cross Country, Equestrian, Golf, Soccer and Softball. The 2010 State Fall Games will begin on Friday, October 1 with Opening Ceremonies to be held at 8:00 p.m. Athletic Competitions will be held on Saturday, October 2, beginning at 8:00 AM.
