Newest Seneca Sheriff K-9 apprehends suspect

Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Grailan Scott Linton, age 39, 1157 Route 5, Cape Cod Apartments #6, Waterloo, New York. Sheriff’s Deputies were investigating a larceny complaint received earlier in the night when they observed Linton riding a stolen bicycle, carrying a box full of various home electronics taken during a burglary Linton allegedly committed in the Town of Waterloo. When Deputies attempted to interview Linton he fled and after a short chase along Route 5 he was apprehended by the Sheriff’s newest K9 unit “IZAK” and his handler, Deputy John Fowler. No injuries were suffered by Linton or the Officers on the scene. Linton was charged with Burglary 2nd, Criminal Mischief 4th and 2 counts of Petit Larceny. He arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court and remanded to the SCCF in lieu of $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond. Linton is to reappear at a later date in August to answer the charges.
