Tom Muto Jr. of Wolcott earned a spot in the 110’th U.S. Amateur Golf Championship yesterday. Tom carded a 3-under par 141 in Monday’s two round qualifier at Seven Oaks Golf Course to garner one of 3 available spots. Tom is a graduate of North Rose-Wolcott High School and Barton College, as well as a member of the Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club.The U.S. Amateur will be played at Chambers Bay on August 23 – 29, 2010. Chambers Bay will be the first municipal course to host this prestigious championship, and it will be only the second time the U.S. Amateur has been played in the State of Washington.
