08/01/2010 – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies report that several local fire departments responded to a structure fire at 101 Border City Rd in the Town of Waterloo. The building was a warehouse that was unoccupied at the time of fire and is owned by Robert Stivers, age 47, 401 Boody’s Hill Road, Waterloo, New York. The fire took almost two hours to get under control by Border City, Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Geneva, Magee and Varick Fire Departments. The estimated loss of the building and contents is over $100,000.00 The building was insured for $70,000.00 and the contents were not covered. The Seneca County Fire Investigation Team and State Fire Investigation were called to the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and Investigators from the County team and State Fire will be back at the scene Monday morning.
