A joint investigation conducted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and New York State has resulted in an arrest in connection with several recent burglaries in the Towns of Tyre and Junius. Sheriff’s and State Police Investigators arrested Zachary Ramirez, age 18, of 372 Castle Street, Geneva, New York. Ramirez is alleged to have entered six different homes during late night hours while the residents were in their homes sleeping and removed purses from the homes. According to Investigators Ramirez took money from the purses and then discarded the purses roadside. Ramirez was charged with six counts of Burglary in the Second Degree and two counts of Petit Larceny. Ramirez was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000.00 cash bail/ $60,000 bond. Ramirez is scheduled to re- appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 07/30/10.
