On Tuesday evening at about 8:30 pm, Seneca Falls Police were dispatched to a house fire located at 11 Montgomery Street in Seneca Falls. Upon Police arrival there was heavy smoke in the air and all of the occupants inside the residents had evacuated safely. The Seneca Falls Fire Department responded along with the Red Jacket Fire department; Waterloo Fire department; Fayette Fire Department; and the Aurelius Fire Department in order to battle the fire. It took the cooperation of all departments involved approximately two hours to get the fire under control. North Seneca Ambulance was also on scene to treat anyone who might need attention during this incident. No one was hurt during the fire. The Red Cross responded to the scene and assisted the home owners. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team.
