The Waterloo Police Department reports the arrests of Christopher A. Barnard, 18 of 2739 St. Rt. 96 – South Waterloo, Anthony D. Haig, 21 of 2739 St. Rt. 96 – South Waterloo, and Adam T. Stamp, 21 of P.O. Box 632 Waterloo for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The arrests are the result of a traffic stop for speeding in which it was discovered that the three males had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. The three males were issued appearance tickets for the drug charge.In addition to the drug charge, Haig was found to be in possession of a “butterfly” style gravity knife which resulted in the additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree. Haig was issued an appearance ticket for the weapon charge and was issued traffic tickets for Operating Out of Class and Speed in Zone.All three males are to appear in the Waterloo Village Court at a later date and time to answer the charges.
