Seneca County Sheriff’s Police Beat: Class E Felony

06/23/2010 – Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Barton E. Landon Jr., age 34, of 5535 State Route 96, Lot 26, Romulus, NY for failing to change his address as a registered sex offender, a class E felony. The arrest stems from Investigators checking Landon’s residence when information was developed that Landon was not living where he reported to be living. It was discovered that Landon had moved at least once without reporting his address change to the Sheriff’s Department. Landon is a level 1 sex offender. He was convicted on July 8th 2003 for Rape in the second degree for engaging in sexual activity with a 13 year old female.Landon was arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court where he was committed to the Seneca County correctional facility in lieu of $5000.00 cash or $10000.00 bail bond; he is to re-appear in Town court on 06-25-10 at 10:00 am.
