TCAT will offer reduced service on Monday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day weekend.TCAT will operate service based on its Saturday schedule with the exception that TCAT will be operating the Route 22 that serves Taughannock Falls State Park, Cass Park and Cayuga Nature Center.Many local businesses and government will be closed on July 5th because the July 4th holiday falls on a Sunday. However, TCAT’s operations team decided to add the Route 22 to accommodate passengers who are attending outdoor activities in the parks that day. TCAT, Inc (Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc.) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public transportation for Tompkins County and portions of Tioga and Schuyler counties. TCAT transports over 3 million passengers every year covering a distance of more than 1.6 million miles. The fleet of approximately 50 buses currently includes 6 hybrid electric-diesel buses.
