The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an informational seminar on how the recently passed healthcare and health insurance reform legislation will affect businesses. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 8:00am to 10:30am, in the Vandervort Room of The Scandling Center at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Benefit Specialists of NY will be presenting an overview of the legislation and a review of how the legislation will affect business in the immediate future. The seminar is open to anyone affected by healthcare. Topics to be covered include tax credits, young adults up to age 26, preexisting conditions for children up to age 19, limits prohibited on group health plans, first-dollar coverage for preventative services, Medicare donut hole rebate, and what’s scheduled for 2011, 2012 and beyond. The cost of the seminar is $10.00 for Geneva Chamber members and $15.00 for non-members.
