Ontario Co. Conservative Party Secretary Withdraws

On Friday, June 11, 2010, the Ontario County Conservative Party secretary and tentative candidate for New York State’s 129th Assembly District, Laurene Holcomb, withdrew herself from consideration for the 2010 election cycle. Citing careful and thoughtful consideration, Holcomb explained to the party’s County Chairman Steven G. Poyzer, Vice-Chair Michael F. Kloppel and Treasurer Mark L. DeRuyter, that she had determined that she could be more effective working from within the Tea Party movement and Conservative Party to bring about the changes so drastically needed in Albany and our nation’s capitol. The leadership of the Ontario County Conservative Party respecting Holcomb’s thoughtful decision has removed her name from their nominating petitions and will not be endorsing a candidate for the 129th Assembly District for the 2010 election cycle.
