Kick Off 2010 Family of Friends Campaign

On June 1st, Schuyler Hospital’s Health Foundation kicked off their 2010 Family of Friends Campaign with a gathering of friends, staff and the media at the Hospital in Montour Falls.The 2010 Family of Friends fundraising campaign will focus on enhancing the Hospital’s comprehensive care for women of all ages.The Press Conference introduced new Foundation Executive Director, Steve Strathmann; Campaign Chair, Jim Howell; and Honorary Chairs, Suzanne and Carl Blowers.Hospital President/CEO, Rick Stelzer, also spoke, focusing on the importance of community support in the face of touch economic times.Howell spoke about how the quality of care at Schuyler Hospital was one of the first things he and his wife looked at when they first considered moving to Schuyler County. He and his wife have both utilized, and been pleased with, the services they’ve received at Schuyler Hospital, and will continue to work toward keeping the hospital vital – with the latest in technology, as well as a skilled and caring staff.Featured as part of today’s kick-off were tours of projects funded by previous Family of Friends campaigns – the renovated Rehabilitation Services Suite, and the newly opened Dialysis Suite operated by Arnot Health.The campaign goal is to raise $150,000 toward the renovation enhanced women’s services for all ages.For more information, contact the Schuyler Health Foundation at (607) 535-8879 or go to www.schuylerhospital.org
