Second Annual Dog Walk at Hunt Country Vineyards

BRANCHPORT, NY – Come one, come all to the Second Annual Dog Walk at Hunt Country Vineyards on Saturday, June 5 from 10 am to 3 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Shelter of Hope of the Humane Society of Yates County. All breeds and sizes of dogs are welcome for a fun-filled day of walking the Hunt family trails. Dogs should be well-behaved and comfortable socializing on leashes. Registration is only $10 per dog and will include the trail walk and a free standard winetasting or glass of grape juice.“Last year’s inaugural Hunt Country Dog Walk raised over $1000 for the Shelter of Hope and was so much fun that we couldn’t wait to do it again. Dogs and owners really enjoyed walking through the vineyards, meeting other dogs and raising money for an important cause,” said Joyce Hunt.Again this year, dog owners will have a chance to shop for dog-related items; including biscuits, snacks, clothing, collars and more. Hunt Country Vineyards has designed a custom t-shirt – available in a variety of colors and featuring the dogs of Hunt Country – which will be available for sale.At 2:00 pm, a K-9 Unit from the Yates County Sheriff’s Office will be present to give a demonstration of the training and methodology of police dog work.Vendors who sell dog-related items and services are encouraged to participate in the Dog Walk. Registered vendors include K-9 Kids, who will be selling handmade dog treats; Ruff-Stuff Dog Supplies, purveyor of dog food and toys; and For Claudia’s Sayke, maker of natural dog care products. The $10 fee to walk dogs will be donated to the Shelter of Hope; as will 10% of all sales at Hunt Country Vineyards during the day.
