After a record 825 entries from TST BOCES area schools, South Seneca had many entries from 5th -12th grades this year and many award recipients: Krista Taylor-Cover Art-First Place; Adam Wagner-Regular Poetry-Second Place “Taco”; Ray Prouty-Regular Poetry-Very Honorable Mention “Empire State Building Haiku”;Cheyenne Coney-Regular Poetry-Very Honorable Mention, “Shape Poem-Bee” and Megan Chase-Story-Very Honorable Mention, “Elohi”. Awards will be presented at end-of-the-year award ceremonies. Trophies are awarded to place winners and Very Honorable Mention award winners receive a certificate. Holly Kazarinoff, TST BOCES Coordinator of Enrichment Services commented, “This year we were blessed by an anonymous donor who supports our Contest so we bought raffle prizes to encourage student participation. We wanted to make sure that the schools who promoted the contest the most, benefited the most.” South Seneca had several students that were lucky enough to win the raffle: Adrianne Mander, Meredith Beardsley, Samantha Haviland, John Taylor, Kyle Eygnor and Casey Patana.
