Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a structure fire at 3447 Seneca Road, in the Town of Covert owned by Janice M. Johnson of the same address. Upon arrival an unattached garage was fully engulfed in fire. Several pieces of equipment were destroyed by the fire and a vehicle parked in the driveway and the residence both sustained heat damage. The garage was a total loss and the homeowner reports that the property is fully insured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Also responding to the fire was Trumansburg Fire Department, Interlaken Fire Department, and both Ovid and Lodi Fire Departments.
