04/26/2010 – Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three females following a property damage motor vehicle accident that occurred at the Waterloo Premium Outlets. Deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle that had struck another vehicle in the parking lot and then left the scene. Upon checking the area for the alleged vehicle, Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Route 318 in the Town of Junius. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle’s three occupants were in possession of multiple items of stolen property.The vehicle’s driver, at the time of the traffic stop Ashley S. Tartt, age 23, of 545 West Moreland Street, Syracuse, New York was arrested and charged with Failure to Use Designated Lane, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.A sixteen year old passenger, whose name is being withheld for possible youthful offender status, was charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Unsafe Backing and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fifth Degree. It was determined that the sixteen year old was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the original traffic crash Deputies responded to.Jayla T. Fulton, age 20, of 104 Claire Road, Dewitt, New York, another passenger in the vehicle was charged with Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Third Degree, Permitting Unlicensed Operation and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fifth Degree.All subjects were arraigned in the Town of Junius Court Justice before Judge Laird and all were remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500.00 cash or $5000.00 secured bond. All parties are scheduled to re-appear on May 20th 2010 to answer the charges. Deputies were assisted on scene by New York State Police.
