Executive Links to Open This Summer at NYCC

Seneca Falls: New York Chiropractic College will soon open a nine-hole, par three golf course called Executive Links, located right on the college campus.According to Tony Petroccia, Director of Recreational Services and most recently Director of Golf Operations at NYCC, the College has undertaken management of the par-three golf course formerly known as Cayuga Links located on Route 89 in Seneca Falls. Renovation and revitalization of the clubhouse, greens, tees, fairways and irrigation system are currently underway. Under Petroccia’s direction, Executive Links aspires to exhibit the standards of excellence that have become the hallmark for the College. The driving range is slated to open by mid-June and a golf superintendant has been hired to oversee maintenance of the course. Additional staff will be added as needed. Open to the general public, the 9-hole course offers a convenient way for golfers to brush up on their swing or to slip in a little exercise. “This course is ideal for beginners, young players, and those who just want to work on their short game” said Petroccia who anticipates eventually having a pro available to offer lessons for all ages. The course serves up hazards and such aesthetic amenities as ponds, elevated greens and three bridges. What’s more, golfers can complete 18 holes in about three hours! Executive Links at New York Chiropractic College will operate from 7 AM to dusk, seven days a week, and remain open throughout the season. With greens fees comparable to the previous course’s rates, a club house will host a small pro shop and vending machines. Handcarts and motorized carts are also available for rent. In the not-too-distant future, the College envisions leagues, and memberships, and dual memberships with NYCC’s athletic center. “We’re also considering a day camp for area youths that would include golf lessons and swimming lessons,” Petroccia said.
