Several divers from Yates, Ontario, and Wayne Co Sheriff’s Dive Teams along with divers from Branchport-Keuka Park F.D. and Richmond F.D. continued the search for RANDALL “RJ” LIS age 20 still missing this afternoon. Due to morning weather conditions on Sunday 4/18 the search was done electronically by state police side scan sonar and Yates Co Marine Patrol using a special underwater sub remote controlled camera system. They search the lake all day Sunday. On Saturday at 11:45AM the body of Floyd “Zack” Frey was located by divers 300 yards from shore off the Vine Valley Trailer Park Point. At 4PM divers located the pants of RJ Lis that contained his ID etc. Search continued at 9AM Monday April 19 and given the weather being partly sunny to sunny it will make for better diver visibility and conditions. Water temperatures remain at approx 40 degrees. The Middlesex Ambulance corps and Fire Dept are also on scene as is EMS Coordinator. The Ontario County OEM communications vehicle is serving as the command post at Vine Valley.Previous update clarifications: • The official address of Randall Lis is: 591 Yale Court, Victor, NY • Originally information reported the two boys had the previous weekend gone out in a canoe to watch the sunrise. Subsequent investigation shows that it was not the previous weekend. Only that they had previously told friends they had done this.Sheriffs Spike thanks the many agencies and volunteers assisting at the scene.
