Seneca County Health Department officials are investigating the recent death of a Seneca Falls Middle School student. The exact cause of death is unknown at this time however, state and local health department officials have determined that there is no health risk to the public and no need to treat classmates or close contacts. To protect the privacy of the family, no further information about the student will be released. Seneca County Health Department officials continue to work closely with the Seneca Falls School District administration and staff to provide information and assistance to families as needed. We join the Seneca Falls Middle School community in expressing our condolences to the student’s family and friends at this most difficult time.
