Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested William Z. Keokosky, age 66, of 638 East Miller Road, Ithaca, New York for Burglary in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Keokosky is accused of using a “battering ram” type device attached to the hitch of his pickup truck to break a hole through the cinderblock wall of a Town of Seneca Falls business in an attempt to enter it to steal property. An alert neighbor heard the noise from the battering ram and called 911. Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by Seneca Falls and Waterloo Police officers responded to the scene and were able to take Keokosky into custody while he was still inside the business. The building suffered approximately $1000.00 in damage. Keokosky was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 insurance bond. He is scheduled to reappear on 04/15/10 at 1:00pm.
