NYCC Commencement April 3rd

Seneca Falls, NY: Rick McMichael, DC, F.A.C.C., F.I.C.C. will deliver the commencement address to NYCC’s Doctor of Chiropractic graduates on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the college’s Athletic Center. McMichael currently serves as Vice President of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and a member of its Executive Committee. Appointed to a Department of Defense Oversight Advisory Committee to oversee implementation of chiropractic care within the Department of Defense, he served on a similar Chiropractic Advisory Committee for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the request of the Secretary Anthony Principi to help ensure access by the nation’s active duty troops and veterans to the very best healthcare available.A Kent State University graduate, McMichael is also a 1972 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, St. Louis, Missouri. He holds licenses in both Ohio and Florida, has practiced in Canton, Ohio since 1974, and is a member of both the Ohio State Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. McMichael was appointed by Governor Voinovich as a member of the Ohio Board of Chiropractic Examiners (now the Ohio State Chiropractic Board) and served eight years, two as President. Dr. McMichael also served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association. McMichael is past Ohio Delegate for the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and past President of the ACA Council of Delegates. John A. Catena, DC (NYCC 1997) an instructor in the Chiropractic Clinical Sciences at NYCC will offer the faculty greeting and John DeCicco, DC (NYCC 1982) associate professor in the Chiropractic Clinical Sciences will act as Grand Marshall.
