Seneca Falls Police Beat 3-22-10

On March 19th, 2010 at appox. 1:22 pm Seneca Falls Police arrested Aaron C. Ryrko, age 23 of 192 1/2 Fall Street, Seneca Falls NY 13148 on a probation warrant. Once place under arrest, Officers from the Seneca County Probation Department searched Ryrko’s vehicle and that is when they discoverd marijuana in the passenger side door. During a further search of Ryrko’s apartment, a switchblade knife was located in a dresser drawer which was confiscated. Ryrko was arrested, and arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Town Court on the above charges. Ryrko was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash or $5,000 ins. bond. Next court date is April 4, 2010 at 10 am, in the Town of Seneca Falls Town Court. On March 20th, 2010 at appox. 2:40 pm, Seneca Falls Police arrest Giovanni “John” C. Rea, age 43, of 36 Green Street apartment 1 Seneca Falls NY 13148 on an arrest warrant. Rea was charged with Attempted Assault on a Police Officer and Harassment in the second degree. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on October 26, 2009 where it was alleged that Rea swung his head towards an officer in attempt of striking the officer in the head and then bite another officer in the leg. During the same incident, Rea had spit blood and saliva in the face of a emergency personnel from North Seneca Ambulance. Rea was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash or $10,000 ins. bond. Court date has yet to be determined.On March 21, 2010 at appox. 12:53 pm Seneca Falls Police arrested Christopher A. Osterhout, age 23 of 28 Auburn Road, apt. B-8 Seneca Falls NY 13148 for Grand Larceny in the fourth degree. It was alledged that on March 4, 2010 Osterhout had found a wallet and he removed appox. $1,300 from the wallet without the owners consent.Osterhout was processed, arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and was then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash or $2,000 ins bond. Court date has yet to be determined. On 03/21/10 at approximately 12:25 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Charles E. Thorpe IV, age 18, of 38 Bridge Street, Seneca Falls, NY for Possession of Alcohol Under 21 Years of Age. Thorpe was arrested after police observed that he was walking around the back of the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary School and found him to be in possession of a container of red wine. He was issued an appearance ticket, released, and will answer the charge in Seneca Falls Town Court on 03/24/10 at 10:00 a.m.On 03/21/10 at approximately 3:20 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Darrin S. Lambert, age 21, of 3818 Ridge Road, Seneca Falls, NY for Aggravated DWI following a routine traffic stop. Lambert is accused of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and while having a BAC of 0.19%. He was also charged with common law DWI, improper turn without a signal, and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was released on traffic tickets to a 3rd party and has to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 03/25/10 at 10:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
