Seneca Falls Police Beat 3-5-10

On March 3rd 2010 at approx. 7:33 PM Seneca Falls Police arrested Amanda S. Wellington, age 25 from 13 Courtney Drive Seneca Falls, NY for Conspiracy 6th. The arrest stems from an on going investigation from an incident that occured on January 6th, 2010 where Wellington allegedly conspired with her sister in keeping their fourteen year old neice from her parents and Police after the fourteen year olds parents filed a missing person report with the Seneca Falls Police Department. The teen was found the next day in Waterloo at the one sisters residence by a Waterloo Police Officer and a Seneca Falls Police Officer. Wellington was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court by Judge Mahoney and ROR’ed to appear March 11th, 2010 at 9:00 AM.On March 4th, 2010 at approx. 11:46 PM Seneca Falls Police arrested Robert D. Shields, age 44 from 4 Troy Street Seneca Falls, NY for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (Prev. Conviction in 10 yrs); Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Harassment in the second degree. The arrest stems from a domestic dispute that occured at Shields residence. During the dispute Shields allegedly attempted to leave the residence in an intoxicated condition. A sixteen year old daughter of Shields then allegedly took the car keys out of the vehicles ignition as Shields was backing out of the driveway and into the roadway. Shields then allegedly wrestled the keys away from the sixteen year olds hands causing redness and scratches. Once back inside the residence Shields allegedly pushed the sixteen year old. Shields was arraigned in the Town of Junius Court in front of Judge Laird and committed to the Seneca County correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 Ins. bond. Shields isscheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on March 9th, 2009 at 10:00 AM for a Felony Hearing.
