Seneca Falls Dissolution Information Forum Set

On March 16th, voters in the Village of Seneca Falls will have an election to decide whether or not to dissolve their village. A committee of citizens was convened by the Village of Seneca Falls to draft a plan to determine what services would be maintained, what would happen to the property and equipment owned by the village, and how the process would unfold. There have been strong feelings and a variety of opinions expressed at public hearings held by the Village of Seneca Falls and the Town of Seneca Falls.The members of the committee that drafted the plan for dissolution are sponsoring an information-only forum for voters at the Seneca Falls Community Center on March 10, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. The Community Center is at 35 Water St. in Seneca Falls. Light refreshments will be available.The goal of the information forum is to assist voters in understanding what the plan is and how it will affect services if it is approved by voters. Questions from the audience will be addressed.
