LOCAL COUNTRY DUO “WELLS HOLLOW” PENS TOP 25 INDIE SONG OF THE YEARAfter releasing their debut album “A Walk In The Hollow” in March of 2009, Wells Hollow has been named to the Top 25 indie songs of the year at www.indie-music.com. Their song “Cherry Juice” was chosen from thousands of submissions as the only country song represented in the Top 25.Singer Wayne Andrews and Instrumentalist Bee Thomas penned the song about a little girl “selling cherry-flavored kool-aid at the side of the road” last winter for their debut CD, and since it’s release, it has been frequently played by WFLK, 101.7 in Geneva…the Finger Lakes Best Country.The song was also selected for airplay on the Upstate Onstage show at WBEE, Rochester, which features local acts selected by DJ Brian Chase.You can see the Top 25 at www.indie-music.com/top25_1-2010.php or follow the Top 25 link on their Myspace page at www.myspace.com/wellshollow.
