VARICK, NY – On February 1, 2010 Seneca County SPCA Agent Jenny McWhorter charged John Goodall of Route 336 in the Town of Varick with three counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty for severly neglecting three cats on his property. The cats were left without sustenance, with extremely matted coats for several weeks. One cat required surgery and hospitalization and is recovering. Goodall faces up to three years in jail and a $3000 fine.
