Snowy Friday on tap for most of the Finger Lakes

Steady snow Friday morning will taper to scattered snow showers through the day to the east while the central and western Finger Lakes could experience as much as 8 inches of lake effect snow by the end of the day.Arctic air moving into the area will mean that temperatures will slowly drop down through the teens during the day. By late in the day Friday, wind chill temperatures will approach 0.Lake effect snow will continue south of Lake Ontario Friday night, with several more inches of snow possible overnight in persistent bands.
