The Waterloo Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at about 11:50 p.m. A car that was driven by Jaime L. Smith, 28 of 16 Cora Drive Cohoes, NY was traveling East on North Road when her vehicle struck Gerald F. Beman, 46 of 381 Prospect St. Palmyra, NY who was walking on the South shoulder ofthe roadway in an Easterly direction. Beman was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital, where he was later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital.The Waterloo Police Department was assisted at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance, Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, and the Waterloo Fire Department.
