Phelps Community Historical Society and Phelps Community Center have cancelled the following special event Home for the Holidays originally scheduled for 3-8 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2009.We realize that our culture has shifted to people making up their minds at the last minute, but this type of event needs a stronger showing of pre-sales tickets in order to balance last minute-decisions. Out of courtesy, we could not ask our sites to invest time and preparation into great decor & food, without guests to share their hospitality. Also, we understand that this time of the year, there are numerous events on people’s social calendars and this event becomes one of many, instead of being a unique and special.PCHS is still tentatively looking at the idea of a progressive dining/home & architectural tour event in 2010, but not anywhere near Sauerkraut Festival or the Holiday season. We are deeply grateful for your willingness to participate and hope that we have been able to provide you with this early enough in the week so that you too, may be able to make another of the holiday activities on your own calendar! Wishing you a Happy Holiday & Bright New Year!
