The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 11/19/09 at about 9:05 AM Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Anthony R Venturino, age 28, of 535 Main Street Apt 2, Geneva, N.Y. on several drug related charges. The arrest stems from an investigation into Venturino using and posessing drugs while working as a Child Protective case worker. Venturino is employed as a Senior Caseworker at the Seneca County Child Protection division. Venturino was arrested without incident, in his office, at the Seneca County Office Building 1 Dipronio Dr. Waterloo N.Y. A search warrant was executed at Venturino’s office and his vehicle. During the investigation and the search warrant small amounts of cocaine were discovered as well as drug paraphernalia, and other possibly illegal drugs. Venturino was charged with 5 counts of Criminal Posession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Official Misconduct. He was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1500 cash bail, $3000 bond. The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
