TOPS Opens Newest Fueling Station in Auburn

Williamsville, NY – Tops Friendly Markets, the leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester, and Northwestern Pennsylvania, today announced that its newest fuel station in Auburn, NY is open for business. The addition of this fuel station is part of Tops’ $150 million capital investment plan, and is part of the remodeling of the Auburn location that will include major interior and exterior renovations, set to be complete in early December, 2009. The long awaited station that will operate in the parking lot of the existing Tops at 352 W. Genesee Street is among Tops’ 31 on-site fueling facilities, including three in the mid-state area. Shoppers can use their BonusCard when they shop at their neighborhood Tops Friendly Markets and they’ll earn points on qualifying grocery and pharmacy purchases. Customers earn one Gas BonusPoint for every dollar they spend and can track their points at the bottom of their receipt. To redeem, customers just scan their BonusCard at a Tops gas pump. The fueling facility will consist of four, double-sided, self-service fuel dispensers, offering three grades of high-quality gasoline: regular, mid-grade and premium. Customers will have their choice of paying at the pump using a major credit card, or at the kiosk located by the fuel pumps.
