At approx. 9:53 p.m. on 10/14/09 the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Junior A. DeOliveira, age 25, of 7475 Morgan Rd, Building 4, Apt. 7, Liverpool, NY for Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a felony, and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest stems from an investigation by village police into an incident that occurred in the village on 10/05/09 in which DeOliveira is accused of picking up a hammer and smashing in a television screen while in the presence of 3 children who were watching cartoons. He was arraigned before Judge Mahoney and committed to SCCF on $20,000 Cash/$40,000 Bond and has to re-appear for a felony hearing on 10/20/09 at 10:00 a.m.On 10/15/09 at approx. 5:37 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested John L. Fontaine Jr., age 53, of 2439 State Route 14 North on a bench warrant for Failure to Pay a Fine on the original charges of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, Unlicensed Driver, and Inadequate Muffler. Fontaine was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court before Judge Mahoney and committed to the SCCF on $1000 Cash/$2000 Bond and has to re-appear in court on 12/09/09 at 9:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
