Harvest Fest in Seneca Falls at People’s Park

The Seneca Falls Development Corporation and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County are pleased to announce a special addition to the weekly Farmer’s Market schedule; a special Saturday Market on October 10 to be held at People’s Park from 9 AM until 2 PM. The event will include many activities and new vendors adding to the produce, flowers and fresh flowers available at the regular weekly market.”We’re planning to have pumpkin decorating, gardening demonstrations and lots of fresh produce and local goods,” explains Abha Gupta, market manager, “It will be very exciting to have this available on a Saturday and to welcome new visitors as well as old friends to the Market.”In addition to the events, there will be fresh produce vendors with mushrooms, squash, tomatoes, peppers, sweet potatoes, cabbage and fresh baked goods. Also expected are displays from community groups and businesses such as the National Women’s Hall of Fame and information from Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce.”All in all, we expect to fill the park with fun and excitement,” offers Bob Buccieri, Director of the Seneca Falls Development Corporation, “ Along with live music from Nate & Kate, we expect it to be a great day to come on out and see your neighbors and make new friends.”The Seneca Falls Farmer’s Market is completing its second year of operations and visitors, sales and vendors have increased over the previous year. The regular weekly market is held on Wednesdays so the Saturday event is something special. “We hope to see all our regular customers as well as new folks coming by,” Gupta says, “as Saturday is a great time to come and enjoy the waterfront and the Village!”
