State Police, Waterloo, NY, report the arrest of an individual following an investigation into a report of handgun being displayed and in the Town of Ovid, Seneca County. On 09/24/09, Douglas J. Zammett, Age 44, of 3912 County Road 139 Ovid, NY was arrested and charged with one count of Reckless Endangerment 1st (Class D Felony), one count of Meanacing 2nd(Class A Misdemeanor) and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor). Zammett allegedly ran a 15 year old male and his ATV off the roadway and waved a handgun at the victim on 09/16/09. Zammett was arraigned by T/J Ewing and given no bail. Zammett is to reappear in the Town of Ovid Court on 09/30/09 at 6:00 PM.
