The eight wineries of the Keuka Lake Wine Trail will usher in the fall season with their Harvest Tour of Food & Wine celebration, Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2009. Experience the incomparable beauty of the heart of the Finger Lakes and treat yourself to an array of dishes bursting with the vibrant flavors of the finest locally produced foods. In addition to over 20 inspired foods, each ticket holder will enjoy samples of 32 different wines and will receive a complimentary Keuka Lake Wine Trail signature wine glass. Enjoy a gorgeous early autumn drive around brilliant blue Keuka Lake, studded by stops at wineries offering culinary delights such as Italy Hill Killer Chili with heirloom Keuka vegetables, Grape & Pumpkin-spiced Harvest Salad, Apple Butter & Oatmeal Crisp and locally-made German-style sausages and sides. Taste a stunning variety of world-class Finger Lakes wines, from classic dry varietals to luscious dessert wines. Participating wineries include Heron Hill Winery, Dr. Frank’s Vinifera Wine Cellars, Stever Hill Vineyards, Hunt Country Vineyards, Keuka Spring Vineyards, Barrington Cellars/Buzzard Crest Vineyards, McGregor Vineyard Winery and Ravines Wine Cellars. The event runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Event tickets are just $25 per person for the weekend, $19 per person for Sunday only. A limited number of weekend tickets may be available the day of the event for $30 per person at the wineries.
