On Monday at approximately 1:44pm, Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a report of a car/pedestrian accident on West Bayard St in the Village of Seneca Falls. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Laci Sanderson age 11 of 123 West Bayard St Seneca Falls was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a vehicle being operated by Michele Polak age 41 of 2123 Pumphouse Rd. Seneca Falls, NY. Further investigation revealed that Sanderson failed to check for traffic before crossing and was struck by the westbound vehicle. Sanderson was treated at the scene for a leg injury and was transported by North Seneca Ambulance and then transferred to Mercy Flight where she was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Polak was uninjured. SFPD were assisted at the scene by Seneca Falls Fire Dept and Seneca County Sheriffs Office. No tickets were issued.
