Arrested on Sunday morning, July 19, 2009, was BRADLEY R. ORLOPP, AGE 21, of 159 Steele Road, Waterloo, NY 13165, on a charge of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree. ORLOPP was charged as a result of an investigation in which it was determined that he stabbed ROBERT C. RICKERSON, age 16, of 1 Locust Street, Waterloo, NY 13165, in the chest with a knife, in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 16, 2009. The incident took place on East Main Street just outside the downtown business district.RICKERSON was initially taken to Geneva General Hospital and then transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York, where he underwent surgery on Thursday morning. He was released from the hospital on Friday, July 17.ORLOPP was arraigned before Waterloo Village Justice, Dean Mattoon, and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail. Return date is August 5, 2009.
