Palmyra to celebrate the 4th of July

Celebrate the 4th of July in Palmyra and join our community in “Honoring Our Own”. Come and celebrate locally, with family and friends, and continue a tradition that started during WWI!The call to celebrate will begin Saturday July 4th with the ringing of our church bells at 10:50 AM and a formal program including Presentation of the Colors by the American Legion Color Guard in the Village Park at 11 AM.Throughout the day come and enjoy the Civil War encampment with live demonstrations, the Pal-Mac middle and high school art & literature exhibits, live music, refreshments, hots & hamburgers, the Daughters of the American Revolution Colonial Flag display, and even a dunking booth featuring King George on the throne!Remember to mark your calendars for other upcoming events in the Village of Palmyra. These events include the Palmyra Pirate Dinner Dance and Wine Tasting Fundraiser on July 18th , a free movie in the park “The Goonies” on August 7th, and our annual Palmyra Pirate Weekend on August 8th & 9th.
