Dewey’s ClamMan’s Party House at 67 Auburn Road (Routes 5 & 20) in Seneca Falls is finally ready to open for business. Owner Dewey Dowd is celebrating with an “Open House” from 5pm – 10pm on Friday, May 22nd. This facility will only host private parties in the future so this is a special opportunity to see inside the newly renovated party space.During the “Preview Party” there will be a live band – Chief’s Big Way, cash bar and food. There is a $5 cover charge at the door with proceeds benefiting the Finger Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross.“This is a great way for a local business to partner with a community agency,” says Lynne Tyler, Executive Director of the Finger Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross. “We share in the excitement of a new business opening up and want to thank Mr. Dewey Dowd for letting us be a part of celebrating his great accomplishment.”“We’re so excited to finally be opening,” says Owner Dewey Dowd. “It’s also a great opportunity to help a very deserving organization in this community.”The facility should be what people in this area have been looking for. There is a 39 foot bar, separate buffet area and seating for up to 99 inside and seating can be arranged for up to 300 outside under the pavilions. There are plenty of bathroom facilities and everything is handicap accessible. There will be 2 sand volleyball courts, bean bag games and plenty of fenced in area for the kids to play. There is a white arbor and pole barn that can be set up for wedding ceremonies. The main focus is going to be weddings, class reunions, birthday parties, graduations, sports banquets, clambakes, anniversaries, stag parties, celebration of life parties after a funeral, and any reason a group of people need a private facility for gathering. Parties range from $8 per person to $50 per person. Mr. Dowd is planning on working with a variety of local charities this summer by hosting similar events on select Friday nights through the summer. Dowd says, “I hope people that need a facility for a party this year or next stop out to see what we’ve done and everyone with a history from Mosher’s and Peaches stops out to see what we’ve become.”
