On May 2, 2009 at approximately 12:12 AM, Seneca Falls Village Police arrested a 17 year old male Seneca Falls resident. The 17 year old male was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree and perjury / making a punishable false written statement. The arrest stems from a report made to Seneca Falls Police on May 1, 2009 at approximately 8:48 PM. The 17 year old male reported that he was the victim of an armed robbery near the Bandstand on Water Street. Village Police started and investigation and learned that the 17 year olds allegations were false. He was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court before the Honorable Joyce Mahoney. He was sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 secure bond. He is due back in Seneca Falls Town Court on May 13, 2009 @ 10:00 AM to further answer the charges.
