Spring is almost upon us, thus Fulkerson Winery is pleased to announce the release of our delicious and refreshing 2007 Traminette. The 2007 Traminette vintage is a semi-dry white wine. The Traminette grape is a hybrid created in 1968 at the Geneva, NY Cornell Experimental Research Station. Traminette is a hybrid of Gewurztraminer and Joannes Seyve 23.416 and is distinguished by its superior wine quality combined with good productivity, partial resistance to several fungal diseases, and cold hardiness superior to its acclaimed parent, ‘Gewürztraminer’.Fulkerson Winery was one of the first in the world to grow Traminette and make a wine from this wonderful grape variety.
