Cornell’s Adult University (CAU) offers you the chance to win free tuition—worth $895—for one of its exciting weeklong summer programs. Three winners will choose from among dozens of courses on a wide variety of topics taught by some of Cornell’s finest faculty.To enter the drawing, just visit www.cau.cornell.edu and sign up to receive e-mail updates about CAU’s on-campus summer programs and off-campus study tours. As an e-mail recipient, you’ll be eligible for drawings on April 15, May 1, and May 15 for the on-campus program of your choice. Winners will be announced on the CAU Web site.Described by one past participant as “a community of people with a passion for learning [and] professors with a passion for teaching,” CAU’s on-campus programs for adults include courses in politics and philosophy; art; cooking and wine appreciation; gardening and landscaping; golf, tennis, rowing, and sailing. Programs for teens include sailing on Cayuga, an outdoor adventure program, a writers’ circle, or a course in the science of sustainability or the history of rock ’n’ roll.As a winner, you’ll choose either to commute to campus and participate for free in program events, or pay the room and board portion for the residential program and enjoy living and dining on campus. Either way, you’ll want to take advantage of the many free concerts, lectures, and events on campus, as well as visit the Johnson Art Museum, stroll through the Plantations, hike the gorges, view the planets at the Fuertes Observatory, and enjoy Ithaca’s many other cultural and scenic offerings.
